The article (found another one in a search) also said it would be towed the last 1/4 mile by the Tundra, and the total journey is about 12 miles.

I'm quite surprised. I had no idea the Tuareg had a V10 diesel in it. But why shove such a large diesel in such a small vehicle that wasn't built to do what the engine was made for? That's like dropping the ZL1 in the Chevy Volt and then being surprised when it reaches 175mph without flying apart, flying off the road, or blowing tires and rolling.
