O.K. - Now that the LMM is sitting in the driveway, how come I can't use the ITBC to control the electric-over-hydraulic (disk) brakes on my 5th wheel? The manual says not to, but - I'm going to at least try to use it before I have to locate a spot on the dash to install my after market controller. You would think with all the electronic stuff on the new truck it would not have this problem. Any help will be appreciated.

its all about how the controler adjust by it self and it will lock up the hyd brakes.

I still haven't come up with a way to make the ITBC work with the electric-over-hydrualic brakes. I removed the ITBC controller and the wires connected to it are very small compared to the wires on the aftermarket controller I used on my Ford. I need to know where I can hook the wires from my after market to the Chebbie's wire harness?
Any hep will be appreciated.

Catfish:
On page 4-48 of my manual on my 09 it says under Electric Brake Control Wiring Provisions:
These wiring provisions are included with the vehicle as part of the trailer wiring package. These provisions are for an electric brake controller. The instrument panel contains blunt cut wires behind the steering column for the trailer brake controller. The harness contains the following wires:
Dark Blue - brake signal to trailer connector
Red/Black - Battery
Light Blue/White - Brake switch
White - Ground
I myself am trying to figure out how to get my 12v accessory wire activated!!!

I found another post that led me to the wire that needs to be connected to stud 1 under the hood... Its annoying that GM couldn't just connect it like it should have been and left the fuse out or something. Regardless. Their thought process leaves quite a bit to be desired...

Back when I got my 02 Ram they just threw a HD Relay for the turn signals in the glove box with the trailer connector (7-4 wire connector, which GM GLADLY charges us for) and labled it as part of the towing package/system.
But that is just being smart I guess...

Not sure in the era of the IBC, but when new ('07 and back), GM included the 7-4 adapter, the wire harness to plug in for the brake controller, and the 40amp fuse for the aux 12v feed when ordered with the trailer package.
Oh, and an HD comes equipped for heavier loads on the turn signals. In fact, the HD has separate circuits altogether for the trailer's needs.
