Just a thouht, but how long has it been since you changed the spin on tranny filter?

When you put that Amsoil ATF in consider a Mag Hytec transmission pan. It holds more fluid, and is made of finned aluminum. Aluminum dissipates heat faster than steel, and with the extra fluid capacity, can help reduce max operating temps.

But no air flows past the fins. What's the point? It also reduces the size of the spare tire you can mount.

I took the truck to a dealer yesterday and they said the engine went into limp mode because of a fault in the PCV valve that would heat things up. They said it was somewhat of a design fault that they had been programming around. .............We'll see.

The PCV vents into the turbo. The tranny is not even remotely connected to anything the PCV can influence.

Can you get a better explanation? Hopefully you are not out of pocket on this analysis.
