Brake controller power

I'm installing a prodigy brake controller in a 2007 Siverado 3500. I found the brake controller wiring loom under the dash. The power wire Red w/ black has no power. The fuse box under the hood does not have a fuse locations for the brake controller. Does anyone know where this is located? Also what is the orange wire for? is this for the ITBC?

Thank for the help

Jim

I found the wire

Wire was next to the fuse box wrap in tape on the underside of the loom. That wire goes to the the stud 1 post to the front of the fuse box - that post is connected to 40a fuse. I hope this helps someone else out.

Jim,

Is this wire located inside the vehicle, or under hood?

I'm currently trying to figure out why my Accessory connection is not working on my 09.

THANKS!

Corey

Well I just ran outside and looked under the hood. I had already spent about 3 hours scouring through the owners manuals and found what I thought I was looking for. Granted, I was lead to believe that the wire was a "blunt end" in a loom under the dash, behind the instrument panel. But I found it next to the master cyl under the hood... Guess I know what I'm doing tomorrow... I really would like to B!tc# slap the people at GM... Couldn't just hook it up and leave the fuse out huh????

The 'blunt' bundle is inside by the parking brake, for an aftermarket controller install. Under the hood, check for the fuse first. There may be two wire bundles, one for the controller, and the other for your 12v feed.

Check for a fuse.

I wouldn't see why not... Just ensure what ever you are connecting to it doesn't over rate the fuse that is connected to it.
