| Fifth Wheel Hitch I just got my 2008 Duramax 2500HD last week and I will be in the market for a fifth wheel hitch. Before I pulled a bumper hitch camper with my half ton and I have upgraded my half ton truck with the Duramax to pull a fifth wheel camper. Any sugestions on a good fifth wheel hitch? I would like a hitch that I can take out of the truck and have as little mounting hardware left in the box of the truck as possible. I know alot of the hitcheds leave the two big mounting bars in the box of the truck when you have the hitch out. I remember seeing a hitch last year that was just four holes drilled in the bed and when you have the hitch out you can put plugs over the holes. Anybody have this type of hitch and if so do you like it? Another question I have is if I get a spray in bed liner do I want to do that before or after I install the hitch? |

| B&W Custom Truck Beds, Inc.
I ran across this one after I had converted my fithwheel to a gooseneck. I didn't want anything in the bed of my truck, since I only pull the trailer 4-5 times a year. The gooseneck hitch I have is a ball that can be turned over. The best thing since sliced bread.
I don't have any info on this hitch, but looks great. |

| Not sure if you looked into it or not but if you have a short bed I think you need a special sliding setup so the trailer doesnt hit the bed.
However I dont have a fifth wheel so I maybe wrong

Just got it put in my truck this weekend and it is great so far. You can pull it out and put four plugs in the holes and it looks like nothing was ever done to your truck.

| Yes, my truck is a short bed (6.5'). I am definatly going to go with a slider hitch. I think Reese makes a slider hitch with the railes mounted under the box like what you are talking about on the Pullrite. |

The hitch you are talking about is the Reece Signature Series slider. You can buy the rail kit that goes under the bed and only leaves four holes in the bed when you pull the hitch out. They give you four rubber plugs that go in the holes and you can't even tell a hitch even goes in the bed. I have one and love it.
I have see the pullrite in a shop and it is very nice, but boy is it expensive.
