If it where me I would get off at breezewood and go south on 70 then north on 81 through Hagerstown Maryland and east to Littlestown.
Bypassing that part of 30 will save you alot of headaches. There is a huge hill 5 miles east of breezewood on 70. You would go up it comming back. Im not sure how that hill will be on 30.
I checked on yahoo maps and that way should take you another 30miles and 15 minutes but they hills might make it worth the extra time.

Hmm I just checked and right before 15 on 77 there is a park it looks like called catocitin mountain. There are some sharp curves and it might be steep there.
A Third option would be to stay on 76 to harrisburg and go south on 15.

You could take Rt 22, to 99 to 322 or go to Breezewood and get on 99 to 322 to 81....easy cruising....some hills but they are long grades....Crecent mountain is about the worst of it.....I've towed it bunches of times and not too many Creeper Cops(weigh cops)
