I have a used 06 2500 Dmax Crewcab 4WD LBZ it has a Tekonsha Voyager it came with no book or user info. My travel trailer is an 03 new to me that has electric brakes it was pulled only a couple hundred miles at most. I fat fingered around and had the brakes and controller working just great. Made several short trips no problems. Last trip controller wouldn't lock brakes with slider. I had to max out the turn knobs (had green to orange to red LED etc) and then trailer brakes were only slightly detected. On the return trip with trailer hooked up no lights at all on the controller and obviously no trailer brakes. What fuse or fuses feed the controller and trailer hitch plug. I think I recall there always was a green light on the Tekonsha even with no connection at rear plug and I think even with ignition off. Any help greatly appreciated.

In the fuse box under the hood, "Stud#2" supplies power to the controller, and in the interior fuse panel (end of driver's side dash) "VEH CHMSL" triggers the controller's auto activation.

I had one of the Voyagers. It did a similar thing. Mine I bought new and it worked fine UNTIL I really needed it going across some knarly mountains with lots of turns in My 07 5.3 gasser, needles to say Brake's burning, and warped my rotors. I was glad it was only a pop up. I late found that Tekonsha had a circuit board problem with those. It was too late to send it back (or so I was told). I replaced it with a Hensley TruContol and never looked back. A little on the pricey side though
Is the dark blue "trailer brake" wire at the pigtail under the dash supposed to be a complete circuit (show zero ohms ) to pin #2 at the trailer hitch socket if so I think I found the problem.
The heavy gauge dark blue wire is the output line to the trailer’s brakes. Raising the plug cover, it will be the post positioned at 5 o’clock and the ground pin will be next to it at 7 o’clock.
