I grabbed a bumper pull tow bar off of an '01 3500 I bought for parts, it looks like it won't fit my truck(sig), when I held it up it looked like the cut outs for the shackles weren't big enough and the two bolts that screw into the bumper were hanging out behind the bumper's rear edge.
So the question is; will a hitch from a LB DRW 2001 fit my truck?

From my research involving a Superhitch. The '01-'09 2500 and 3500 hitches work as long as we're talking about long beds. But, you are trying to mate a long bed hitch to a short bed. Again, only using the Superhitch application guide as a reference, this isn't going to work (the Superhitch hitches have different part numbers b/t short and long beds). I have no idea what the difference b/t the two actually is, but sounds like you found it. Good luck.
