| Qustion about fuel mileage? I have a 2006 3500 crew cab long bed 4x4 with a six inch Fabtech lift and 35/12.50 17 pro-comp x-treme a/t tires. The motor is all stock and i get about 11-12 mpg around town and 10-11 mpg towing a 7000 lb. travel trailer. Never owned a diesel before is this normal gas mileage? Very happy with everything about the truck, even the gas mileage if this is all i can get, because it is a very large truck. |

| A programmer and exhuast should give a few more mpg's.The lift and larger tires dont help with the mpg but sometimes looks are worth the sacrifice.

| with the lift and tires and still getting above 12MPG,i wouldn't complain but yes there is room for improvement.start out with a Silverline or MBRP Exahust then a PPE,ATS,Diablo,Quadzilla or EFIlive tuning and then also make sure you do gauges to keep an eye on the boost and EGT levels..also welcome to the DF.

| Ya thats about normal for your tire size the lift doesnt hurt anything but the tires do! I killed my fuel mileage when I went from a 245-285. I was getting 15town 20 highway now 12town 15highway. I think my next tire will be a 265!

| The lift will hurt the mpg on the highway too! The higher up the truck is the more drag there will be on it because no matter how tall your tires are, air doesn't flow under the truck very well at all. For better mpg you can also re gear your differentials to take into account your taller tires and get back to your stock final drive ratio. This won't solve all your problems either because the taller tires have more mass to get moving, and more rolling resistance once moving. If you want mpg slamm it & put skinnies on it. |

| I am getting 13 mpg with basically the same setup- cclb 6" fabtech with 315's. Haven't ran my Edge juice/attitude long enough yet to know what to expect from it, nor have I towed much wieght yet. I was really hoping to get up to 15 mpg- maybe after exhaust and cai??? Hope so- I guess we have to remember- with this setup, these trucks are massive!! Does anyone know about how much this should wiegh?
