| Egt's While towing, what should be a normal operating temp? I have seen mine rise over 1,000 before. Normally if I am pulling heavy it will hang around the high 800's. My temp sensor is after the turbo.

| As long as you stay below 1350 you will be fine.

| I have mine straight piped and I hauled about 12,000 up a pretty steep hill. My EGT's went to about 1200 and stayed there pretty easy. However as GmcLbz said if you go over 1350 the aluminum heads will start to melt or warp at the least.

| ive got a 2005 LLY cc lb, i have the edge set on lvl 3 with and most responsive ( lvl 5), ive got a CAI and stock exhaust, i have got mine up to 1340 on an incline at about 75 % throttle. Is this fairly high for my setup?
I tow a trailer so when i put the edge down to lvl 1 or 2 when towing will my egt's drop?
I know i need to get a turbo back exhaust too, how much can i expect my egt's to drop from that? any other help would be appreciated, what you guys think?? |

| a tip for the guys with the 6SP ally tranny, put it in manual mode and drop it into 5TH gear and your EGT's will drop by 200*'s almost everytime.
i have my probe on the driverside manifold and most hills i try to keep it belowe the 1400's,pulling 20,000+ with the PPE on the 300HP level isn't what you call smart.i wouldn't run over 1350 for more then a few minutes.
