I bought my truck and trailer as a package deal from a private party. 34' Jayco fifthwheel and the truck is 02 2500HD crew cab. I pulled this rig home from the purchase and on one trial run camping trip before vacation and it had it's hands full. I spent some of our vacation money and installed the BullyDog PowerPup. Felt a lot less like the tail wagging the dog. I have not moved it from the first setting "Tow/Economy" setting. The trip from Michigan to Minnesota I got between 10.5 - 12.5. A lot of that depended on the traffic. I stayed mostly on 2 lane roads running about 60. If it could drive without cruise and get a little run at the hills, my numbers went up a little. When we ran it to my parents house without the trailer, I got 20 with most of the trip at 75mph. I can now average around 18.5-20 when I keep it at 60. Doesn't really matter how nice you were on the throttle, our house drives on the theory of "drive it like you stole it". I am sure there is some savings, but it's just too boring to drive like a little girl.
