I think you will have to go to the dealer and have your BCM flashed to make it work. Mine you have to have the mirror select switch in the middle/neutral, and then push the mirror adjustment button to the left to extend and the right to retract.

I don't know about that, i know the 07classics will work on the 05s. I am not sure about the 01s though. IIRC all of the wiring and plugs are the same from the 01-07 classics.

I do not know on yours but I put the extendable towing mirrors on my work rig and was dissapointed when I did not find a plug for the LED blinkers in the mirror. Yours may have a similar problem with the buttons not being capeable of extending the mirrors. I would look to see how much a whole new switch assembly for the door would be.

you need the entire door control, you may also need to add a hot for the turn signals and power out feature.

Ya it might be alot of work. Im not a wiring expert but you might be better off wiring the extended mirrors seperatly and have them work off a switch.

if your stock mirrors were power folding the mirror switch just needs to be switched out with the switch that came with the tow mirrors.

Oh and also looking for the telescoping tow mirrors that came on the 05-07 classics.( the mirrors that look like ford tow mirrors)

So with my 05, i have the power adjusting tow mirrors, and i wanted to go to the new big tow mirrors, should just have to switch out the mirrors themselves and plug in?

IDK but you are all pretty lucky, I asked the dealer about ordering some for my '03 and they told me that the '03 was the only year that they could not get all of the power options to work like the other years...
But now I am buying an '02 to haul with so that may solve my worries...
