Mine does it all the time. Does it also do it when in reverse backing up? Mine as done it since new and continued to do it after the re-build.

It could be your locking powl getting worn, it the locking mechanism in the allison that puts the truck in park and stops it from moving.

In Low I think all of our trucks do it.

I would say its just getting worn.

It not always as bad as it sounds. Just run it till you dont have park . Kidding but if you had a shop replace it it will be expensive.

If the park pawl is wearing you will know it. The park pawl on these transmissions is fairly large as are the notches it engages. Also, you have a spring wedged into the case to pull the park pawl back when the park rod disengages.

I don't really have an answer for the clicking other than maybe its all the solenoids in the vb releasing.

I have had 12 GM trucks since 2000 and all of them have this problem, not just with the Allison... I would also check the gear lube in the differentials, and in the transfer case, if they get low or have never been change and are dirty they can cause this too...JMHO
