TCM Tuning

Would it be worth doing with stock trans tunes? Im getting my truck tuned via EFI Live saturday by a local shop with tunes up to 100hp. They offered to do 5 tunes and the tcm for $450.

2005 ECSB
4" exhaust dumped
ProFab down pipe
FASS 150gph Platinum
dsp5 EFI from Punisher Performance
18x9 Raceline Raptors wrapped in Goodyear Duratracs
pcv rerouted
egr blocked
LLY air box mod
Manual high idle mod
213,000 miles and still driven like its stolen

TCM tunes are wet dreams. Amazing how many tuning masters are out there that have no idea is going on with the Allison.

So I take it tcm tuning is not worth the money?

thats alot for basically a stock truck dude.

So I guess the best thing to do will be ECM tuning alone and let the tranny do its thing..
The price they gave me was 5 tunes and TCM. I'm thinking without TCM tuning it will be around 250. Id love to have Robs tuning but this is closest to me and I need this truck every day.

we have a v2 loaner program that is right around the same cost as what that shop is charging you.

Lol...

OP, the only reason you need to change the TCM tune is to raise the rpm limit/shift points to keep a larger turbo in its power band. Otherwise your just pissing in the wind...
