| 2008 sierra 3500 diesel PROBLEMS got a truck out in vegas. have a transporter driving it back to me in MD. Transporter is saying that the truck is saying: "transmission hot idle engine" "service 4wheel drive" "transmission disengaged put in N to engage" wtf!!?? its a 2008 sierra 3500 diesel w/allison. non-dually. 4x4 SLE with 150k miles. transporter is saying it wouldnt drive over 40mph either. |

| that doesnt help me right now unfortunately. i really need to know what all these things mean, and what needs to be done or checked out. im not in vegas right now so I have to assist in this process over the phone with this guy. should i have his take it to aamco or some shit? |

| Sounds like this should be a good lesson in buying sight unseen. I don't quite understand. Isn't that what the transporter is supposed to do is transport the truck? If it drives, why can't they drive it on the truck and just drive it to you? Once you get it, you can better assess the situation. If you've already purchased it, there's not much they can do to help you but to get the truck to you, I assume.

| I assumed you were talking about a major transporter that transports vehicles. In other words, drive it on a ramp with a lot of other vehicles and drive it to you. But you're saying someone is actually driving the vehicle to you? If so, how can that be a transport company? Not trying to be an azz, just trying to understand.

| Replace both batteries if you are. We need codes. tell the guy to buy a cheap code reader and get us the engine codes. Then we can tell you exactly what is wrong. Does the Trans overheat come on if the truck is cooled off?
