Where to buy Transynd?

Do any national chains carry Transynd? I've checked at all the ones in my small town and can't find it.

thanks

I'll buy locally if possible and if not then from a DF vendor.

There are 6 different brands of TES-295 certified trans fluid,

Castrol Heavy Duty Lubricants -TranSynd

BP Lubricants -Autran Synn295

Cognis Corporation -Emgard 2805

International Truck & Engine Company -Fleetrite Synthetic ATF

ExxonMobil -Mobil Delvac Synthetic ATF

John Deere & Company -HD SynTran

Volvo Trucks North America -Bulldog Synthetic ATF

Should be able to find one of them local.

Yeah it is pretty damn hard to find, the only thing that a big chain is going to have is some royal purple atf that meets tes-295, but it is for emergency only because it is expensive as hell. Try to find big truck repair/parts shops that are allison certified, they have transynd. A lot of farm equipment dealers are mobile dealers and might stock the delvac synthetic atf, thats where I get mine, $38 gallon is the cheapest I have seen. The royal purple stuff at auto zone, or o'rileys is $16 per quart.

I was looking for filters and found them the cheapest at the local dealer so would be a good place to start, if you don't have one John Deere dealers usually have the HD SynTran.

I really don't . . . just got a spin-on at the dealer here (W.W.Williams) in Phoenix. And a price on a five gallon pail ($156.10).

How many miles are on your truck?

70K. Don't know it's maintenance history so I'd like to do a double drain or flush and get Transynd in it. I know there's other approved fluids but why not use what Allison designed?
