Mixing Dex VI (synthetic) with Dex III (Factory)

I'm about to change out my spin-on filter and all I found at the auto part store was Dex VI synthetic, was wondering if anyone has mixed the two before and if anything has happened. only wanting to fill the filter and if it needs topped off (not doing a flush or changing). its been about 34k miles since the spin-on was changed.

I plan to switch over to TranSynd in 2-5 months (why i'm not changing all the fluid) but I still want to change the spin because it hasn't been changed in a long time, and going on a round 1500 mile trip (pulling 2 jet skis) for vacation. I have put 22k of the 34k miles on it haven't towed anything heavy all I do is city+highway(50-60mph) driving daily.

I have added (or done a drain and fill) Dex VI to Dex 3 several times. It says that you can right on the label of the Dex VI, it is compatable. I am not absolutely sure if I would go the other way though......anyone?

guess what im getting to is can I add like 8-16oz of Dex VI (synthetic) to the 10+quarts of Dex III thats alleady in the trans.

It does say "its recommneded use where DEX III H, III, IIE, and II are specified" my question does that mean a whole system drain/fill or just anything

Don't add dex 6 to a pre-06 transmission. The seals are not compatible.

I wouldn't put Dex VI in anything personally.
