long hesitation between 3-4 shift - what is going on?

My truck is a 2006 LBZ with 60K miles. Transgo Jr. installed at 15K miles. It was drained and refilled twice this time last year with Transynd and a new spin-on filter.

My concern is that the 3-4 shift has been much slower than the rest of the shifts lately. Under normal acceleration, if there is a 1/2 second hesitation (barely noticeable) between 1-2 and 2-3, then the 3-4 is 1-1/2 to 2 seconds (very noticeable). It gets worse the faster I accelerate or if the truck is cold.

I haven’t noticed any slipping (RPM jump between shifts). The tach just sits in the same spot during the shift, then drops down afterwards .

Any idea what might be going on? Any help is appreciated!

Nope.

I changed the fuel filter a few weeks ago and the shifting is no different.

What is next on the list to check out?

With my "hot" tune being 80HP, I sure hope I didn't smoke the trans in 60K miles, but its always possible.

What does your boost do between those shifts? My truck is doing this right now and my tuner and I believe it has to do with tuning. There is a larger defuel between 3-4 that causes a hesitation, and u can really notice it when u watch the boost fall off to hardly anything. I do not notice it on my stock tune, just any other tune I run(50, 75, 100). But I am no expert and I have also been having this problem, so if you figure somethin else out, let us know!
