Trans Fluid...

I was going to drain the pan and change the spin on this weekend. I was going to use the Amsoil ATF fluid (not the TES-295 Torque Drive...) because I believe there is a Dex6 in there right now. Can I mix and match if need be? Meaning, can I use Torque Drive with what's in there with no adverse effect? I should need ~8qts, right? Thanks. Did a ton of searching but nothing came up in terms of mix and match.

i know my 07 lbz classic comes with dextron vI .. I did spin on and dropped the pan i think it was in the neiborhood of 11-12 qts

yea i think the 6speed uses different tranny fluid than the 5 speeds do

Actually its hard to judge i used amsoil ..disconnected the trans cooler lines and let the system pump out as i was adding.. its a wasteful messy operation..but i wanted to get as much of the old out as i could

2006 Allison came with Dexron III. They started using Dexron VI on '07. You can use III or IV in anything that takes III but you can not use III in a transmission that takes VI. I hope this helps out.

Amsoil Universal ATF is comapatable with Dex III or VI.

Amsoil Torque Drive is not as stated above by High Voltage.

Yes AMSOIL ATF covers many applications
