I would get techs calling in and they would do everything to get the shift back to stock and when they called in I would ask them to remove the trimmers and let me know if they have check ball in them ....When they stated "yes" its all over that would be between you and GM "" Very Grey area be careful ""

The only way to achieve true overall main line pressure rise (hydraulically) is to do it through the Pressure Regulator valve. This kit is a circuit modification to trim the clutches on and off. Will it help "absolutely".

ok, I thought that it did... but in hindsight, I never had to do any pressure mod when I installed it. I must have been thinking of the one for my old truck with a 44RE; that was a full transgo kit and I did turn a screw that adjusted line pressure.

So that said, does it help the 6 speed to bump the line pressure?

Thanks!
Wally

In the trim circuit yes. This is what gives you the shift. Think of it this way. The solenoid activates the same, but the valve its working, moves at a different rate.

cool. Are there any other simple mods to do to the 6 speed? I put the Transgo on early and I am at 8000mi now and running a Banks 6-gun. Are there any improvements to the TCM that can be made?

if I were to do mods all over again on my truck...this would be the first mod...then would come the exhaust and tunes....this is an absolute must on any 6 speed alli IMO.

it is easy enough to do by yourself and another person's eyes. I mean, you do all the work, and say your wife, girlfriend, brother, sister, dad...can help be another set of eyes for you. A person can do all by their lonesome, but two more eyes, and another hand helps a bunch.
