Some other info about Solenoids:

Trim Sol A is Normaly Closed and allows for Limp home in Power Failure Mode
Trim Sol B is Normaly Open

Trim Solonoids control Ongoing, Offgoing, and Holding Psi to the 5 clutch packs.

Solenoids C,D,E are Shift Solenoids (Normaly Closed)

Shift Solenoids are used to provide logic to distribute fluid to the Clutch Packs

Solenoid F is a Lockup Solenoid (Normaly Closed)

Solenoid F controls the Converter Lockup using Pulse Width Modulation (PWM).

Hope this helps. Feel free to add related info to this thread or correct anything you see that is not correct. Thanks!

Here is another code that is kinda hard to find info on:

P1781-- TCM and ECM Failure To Communicate on Startup

P1781 is set during engine start up when the ECM & TCM do not communicate properly during initial power up. It will only illuminate the service light if the condition occurs in 2 consecutive start cycles, but the DTC will be stored in the failure records after the first cycle. Seems a lot of people get this code when they install an in line type programmer under the hood.

another code you may run into on the allison is p 2810 pressure cylinoid g electrical. its your g cylinoid there mainly in the lly 5 speeds lol i found this out because of my trans i just got built was for a lb7 but its extremly easy to change a trans from lb7 to lly. you ever see p 2810 let me know.
