Does anyone know about a gear vendor for an allison 1000?

Do you mean a transmission guy to rebuild the allison 1000?

They called me looking for an adapter for a truck they were building for Mothers Automotive Products but I haven't heard anything lately and it had an Allison in it with there unit on it

advanced adaptors will make you one for anything. but i doubt that allison has anything with an oem p/n on it.

Why do you need it? The 5 speed allisons have about the ideal rpm range for mileage and pulling power once you do like most and go larger with tires. The 6 speed runs too low of rpm's once you put bigger than stock tires on it. Lowering the rpms just lugs the motor. It will run higher boost, which uses more fuel.

didnt say i needed it. was curious if there was one made.

touche! Well FWIW, I don't know if they make one or not. Suncoast makes a 6 speed conversion kit, but its expensive for what little if any benefit you get.
