So trucks going to the shop tomorrow to get looked at- Me and a few of my buddies tried looking underneath the truck when it makes the "clank" noise. It looked like the rear axle dips forward when it makes the noise. Does anyone think it can be bad leaf bushings? Ideas please!
X2 on the fuel filter preventing the WOT shift
as far as the clunk are all the suspention bolts tight u-bolts etc?
the trannys do have some sort of a clunk from the factory not bad though you sure its just not the tranny going into gear??

I have a 2003 silverado diesel with a allison suncoast trans. When I have to brake hard without giving the tranny time to downshift I get a hard bang, almost feels like I'm being rear ended!! Had everything checked and re flashed, Still having problem, any sugestions?
I think its the infamous gm slip yoke clunk. The fix: nickel plated slip yoke. If that doesn't work... anyone wanna buy an LB7 dually??? just kidding haha
