rough shifts, wierd noises. HELP ME!!!

Hey, I have a 02 silverado 3500 drw 4wd with an allison tranny (230k ++ miles). At WOT it will not shift up, I have to let off the gas slightly for it to shift. Also, on bumps it makes a very nasty clunk noise if I'm on the pedal. I hear the same noise sometimes when it shifts during casual driving. What do you guys think?

Yes sir. I dont wanna buy the fluids and end up needing a whole tranny (thats the hold up right now). I heard the wierd shifts may have be b.c of the fuel filter?

Not sure. I got the truck about 3 weeks ago, maybe 4 now. Got it from a dealer that it was given in on a trade. I know the air filter was the dirtiest Ive ever seen, but that was replaced with the AFE stage 2.

I would get you a new filter tomorrow morning and see if that makes a difference. It could just be really old fluids too but I am not 100% on that.

So trucks going to the shop tomorrow to get looked at- Me and a few of my buddies tried looking underneath the truck when it makes the "clank" noise. It looked like the rear axle dips forward when it makes the noise. Does anyone think it can be bad leaf bushings? Ideas please!
