did the dvd ever get made on rebuilding the alison ? my torque converter went out on me and ive been driving it for a long time broke now because i wanted to rebuild the whole trans w/ a stage 4 any way... i got the kit how hard is it to rebuild the trans i need my truck working right again or should i just put the sc1056 converter in for now and pull the trans again after i get home from my deployment in august is it going to put any junk in the tc wile i have stock clutches? will i have to do anythin to the tc once i put the kit in if it has been in the truck for a little bit?
yea i kno thats why ive drivin it for over 5000 miles with a torque converter that doesnt fully unlock when i stop but i dont even have enough low end torque to jump a curb and with winter comming i think it cant wait any more
Do it all at once. You'll already have it out, thats the hardest part besides getting the converter bolts back in.
so are you saying that you did everything yourself including changin the clutches and pulling it out of the truck was harder then then terring into it?

Chris is being a little generous......really dropping the trans is the easy part of the deal.....most good shops can do it faster than you can imagine. If money is an issue do the converter now and save for the full kit. I might even know where a Suncoast converter might be lying around.

Nope. Had mine built by a pro. But after reading and looking at the insides of one, I feel I could do it if I had a lift and all the tools. Talk to treyfox11 on here, he built his own.
