Good Day - been crusing on here for a bit lots of good info, here's my deal..........
decided to change my filter today, the dealer charged me 102 bucks last time, got mine for 9 bucks.
Anyways NO MAGNET in filter or stuck to housing! The "Tech" that did it must have tossed it.
Do some come with them and some not? From what I've read and seen on here I think they all have them.
I obviosly need one - should I go back to the dealer and raise a stink or what ?!?
Thanks a bunch

No, you're supposed to reuse it. Anyway, the Allison dealer can get you a new one, or the dealer. Be sure not to forget to reuse it when you service the filter on your trans!

all allisons have them...its the incompetent techs that throw them away. I raised a stink with my dealer and they said my truck wasnt supposed to have one. I had them look it up in the computer..yet they were surprized that the allison had a magnet there. They ordered it and then when i picked it up they said they could throw it on.....i said no thanks i want to make sure its on there myself.
