BD built transmission

I have an 2007 lmm cc short bed. I've been running a PPE hot race 2 on level 3 for the last 13000 miles with no problems, yes I did a turbo back with with DPF delete. I do drop down to level 1 while towing camper. The stock tranny is pretty stout, but I want to run on level 5 and tow on level 3, so I just ordered a BD allison tranny. My diesel tech recommended
it over suncoast and ats. He said he has experience in both and suncoast shifts to hard and gives you whip lash and ATS has had reliability problems for the the money. I would like to know if anyone else has run a BD tranny.

I killed a tuned cummins the other day on level 3. I waved at him at 125mph on the GPS as I went by, can't wait to see level 5.

Wow BD over SC and ATS I haven't heard that before. SC doesn't give you whip lash I have the SC V and It shifts hard when I lay on it but when daily driving it is as smooth and fast as they come.

Could it be your tech may have been talking of experiences from Dodge or ford Suncoast and ATS trannies? I know that There are definitely better trannies for Dodges than Suncoast and ATS.

I'm not sure. I won't say any names on here. I will tell you this person has a fantastic reputation for being honest about selling only what you need. He will put what ever I want on my truck. I'm the one who asked him what tranny he would use and that's when he said he's sold and ran all of them at one time or another and he would go with BD for quality.

My thought is how different can Suncoast, ATS, PPE, and BD be. There's only so much you can do to improve a tranny. Valve body, clutches, torque converter and several others you get the picture.

Has anyone run a BD built tranny on a 2007 lmm. I want hear some real world experiences using this company so I can ask my tech some good questions before we go through with the install and I pay the rest of the money.

If your brand loyal, I respect that, try not to bash BD or any others just for the sake of chest pounding. Please give me unbiased information I can use.
