Tranny mods??

I have a 2002 LB7 with a 5 inch exhaust, intake and a bullydog PMT
For the future im planning to add water methanol and maybe a better turbo
Do i have to upgrade my tranny?
What is the average cost of a tranny upgrade?
What will be the best upgrade?
Thanx for your help

Yes the tranny is taking about all it can take now with the PMT. The stock tranny is only good for about 90 extra HP.

It all depends on how far you want to go on which upgraged you want.

A suncoast stage III or IV would be what i would suggest, but if you are going to stick with the Bully dog programming then you could get by with the Transgo shift kit and a new Torque Converter.

Any local transmission shop should be able to handle the install. But if one is not around, even your local dealer can do the job for you.

x2 any local tranny shop can do it. The price will vary from place to place, but mine the labor cost me $1050 to remove, rebuild, and reinstall the tranny and T/C.

like bigred said the next move is doing a tranny upgrade, some suggestions is the Sun Coast 4(the stage 3 will probalily not be enough if you do a bigger turbo)or do what i did the TTS tranny upgrade($575)with a TCS Torque converter($1300)+ a $100 core charge between the two ofem and that setup is good for roughly 700RWHP.i have a local guy that does all my tranny upgrades and it costs $800 for a complete install.
some other stuff to look at is lift pumps, head studds(before you do a bigger turbo),second CP3 pump and some injectors if you want to go extreme..

Has anyone ran the Banks Billet TC I am looking into one for my Allison 5 speed but no one around here has anything done other than exhaust around here and I know with the dual 4" exhaust the Intake and the Six Gun Tuner my tranny is at or beyond it's limits
