I NEED INFO I FOUND A ALLISON TRANSMISSION FOR $1,200. $1,600 INSTALLED. IM TRYING TO FIND A BETTER DEAL AND TRUSTWORTHY. I KNOW YOU GUYS ON HERE HAVE PROBALLY DELT WITH THIS SO ANY INFO WOULD HELP THANKS GUYS!!!!

How much do you know about this tranny? It sounds pretty cheap. I would hate for you to spend 1600 and then have to pull it right back out and rebuild it. What is wrong with yours?

The Clutches Are Burnt. I Noticed It Slipping And Drained A Lil Tranny Fluid Out And It Was Black!!!

if your wanting to go back with a stock tranny then more than likely all that is wrong with yours is the clutch pack. Here is a link to the factory clutch packs and you could just rebuild it. Adrenaline Truck Performance
With that one comeing out of a 03 you could end up getting one with the clutches burnt just as bad as yours.

Thats The Problem!!! If There Is One Thing I Dont Know Its Replacing Clutches.

Really if you wanted to do it right I would get a upgraded T/C put the replacement clutches and a transgo kit in it. You would be set to run you banks on what ever level you wanted then and not worry about it. If you want to run more power than the banks get a Suncoast Stage III kit and it will have everything need to fix yours.

I haven't done it myself so i can't say, but I have been told if you buy the manual it's not that bad. I just hate to see you spend 1600 and still be in the same shape that your were in to begin with.
