Stuck in 3rd gear
My allison transmission every now and than gets stuck in a gear usually 3rd. I have to take my superchip off to stock and back to performance than back to stock and clear the dtcs and after a mess of times it finnaly gets the code off. The dtc is reading a cylinoid problem has anybody had a problem with this and is it easy to fix. HELP ME!!!!!

You're limping the tranny, lower the tune and be more gentle on it. Once the trans limped, it starts getting limped easier.

i've never heard of the trans limping from power and sticking in third. i had this happen to my old dmax once after i went through a cable fence. some safe mode. i'd try updating the superchips

Can it have to do with a bad cylnoid I had this problem right when I got the chip and it did it once transmission guy said he thought the cylnoid was malfunctioning. it does it when I start the truck up and it will go to third gear and stay there its not when im driving does that change anything?

Uh yeah the tranny will limp from power and stick in third..... I did it when I had my PPE on level 5...... it's the clutches slipping that makes it limp. All you can do is stay out of it and save up for a rebuild...... sux.
