Personally I think there a little better to run cold. The colder and thicker the fluid the better it will shift!

Ive never heard of any problems of trannys being to cold at startup.... I'll consider it some more.
How cold?.... Well, these truck thermometers stop at minus 40 C, and winter washer fluid WILL freeze. Last febuary, my truck ran for about 13 days staight, and i mean STRAIGHTcause i was affraid of turning it off and never getting it started, Lol.

That was in Fort Nelson, BC. I go up there for work in the winter. I could make a fare sized list of what goes wrong on these trucks when Im up there ( nothing that doesnt fix itself one i get to warmer climates )
