Trans code P1711 and a clunk

Hi

I was on the way home from work and the transmission went in to limp mode will take off from a stop sign so I pulled over cleared the code P0700 with my programmer that is Diablo that is set at towing.

So I go to take off the truck started to move then made a bang and went it to limp mode. So I got out climbed underneath to make sure no ujoints where gone but all are tight. I drove the 25 miles home in limp mode Trans never got over 1/4 way up the temp guage and the fluid level is right. And now is makes a clunk once in awhile when move the lever from P to R or N to D. it seems to be coming from the frome of the transfer case. and there is a fluid leak between the trans and transfercase not bad.

And hooked up my snapon scan and got a P1711 code Trans Pressure Switch e stuck closed. So I did some reading and changed the NSBU switch just to make sure thats not the problem I got It for $70cdn from the Allison dealer. It did not solve the problem. Could the pressure switch be gone?

I plan On rebuild the trans in the Fall when I got the funds to do it. Could I install the valve body parts of Transgo kit now and install the internals part when I rebuild?

The truck is an 01 Sierra 2500hd 4x4 ext cab with 255000 km on it

Thanks
Peter
