Hard shifting into gear

I noticed today that when going from park to drive or reverse, the shift isn't smooth anymore. It is like an abrupt jerk. Any ideas on what can cause this?

When I was running my ppe it did that whenever I changed tunes. It would do it a few times then stop and go back to normal. Idk if that's your problem or not.

Did you check the tranny fluid level? Might want to consider changing the Spin-on transmission filter and see whats in it or on its magnet.

Change your spin on Alli filter, it is clogged causing a pressure change in the torque converter during engagement resulting in a clunk.

Can get a magnet off of one of the vendors, GM, or an Allison dealer.
