Turbo for LB7

Okay guys so I'm starting to lean towards the fact that I'm going to have to replace my turbo. Which doesn't really hurt my feelings lol. My question though is what are some of the best turbos to look at? I'm on auto guide so I'm sure it won't show my sig. I have 03 lb7 with efilive built trans tuning from nick at duramaxtuner, airdog II 165, 4 inch straight exhaust, PPE stage 5 trans, AEM Cold air (for now), AIH delete. Now obviously building our trucks is a never ending process but what is a turbo that could get me to the limits of the engine (heads, rods, etc.) and what are y'all's experiences with them. I've been doing a lot of reading and it looks like a lot of people are running S366. I just really have no experience with these or what is the best brand wise.

Rebuilding your stock turbo for cheap and twinning over it will give you awesome spool and ultra low EGT.

It'll perform better than going to a bigger single and be more streetable.

I can get another stock turbo pretty cheap. I'm not against the idea of twinning it. I'm just trying to find the best route to go. What would you suggest over the stock turbo?

Sub'd....

How are price differences between compounds and a bigger single?

I mean aren't good compound kits around $4000?

This is something I'm wondering about too. I've seen compound kits around 4k compared to 2k give or take some for a single.

This is what I was thinking but would the 466 be too much?

I'm pretty new to this but is it the same as a 366 just a bigger platform?

I just installed a 366 kit from COTN. The only other thing to buy if you don't have are the swivel ratchets to get old turbo off. Easy install with no problems. Sounds great and runs like a new truck. I can't get my egt's over 1300 on the max effort tune. I too couldn't decide between singe or twins. For the $. I couldn't beat it. More than enough power for a stock bottom if you like to ya it safe.

If you don't mind me asking how much did you spend? And do you have a link to it?
