Depends on what year duramax you are talking about. The one in the LB7 is a IHI turbo and in the LLY, LBZ, and LMM I believe they are all Garret turbos

wow thats a trip what a small world! im stoked for the fresh pow to start building up there! lol i just got back from the rifle deer opener actually in wyoming . My uncle is gary amerine hes an outfitter and he owns Greys River Trophies up there in greys river... nothing like some crappy daniel junction food in the morning before you go riding!!! lol

If your lookin for loud turbos the cheetah and a turbo from Danville performance will do the trick. The Danville sounds similar to the cheetah and mark at danville has made some awesome power on relatively small chargers. Look on YouTube for some vids of Danville trucks. Another thing, I think the cheetah is not as unreliable as some think. A guy I know in town has one and his has worked great for him, not too mention it sounds badass.
