Thats not a good idea either. Your maf won't be reading all the air flow and will pull fuel. If you want to see how bad it will get go pull your intake tube off and take a short trip. Not fun.

to make a LB7 perform betterr and whistle more here are the things to do. first if your running stock intake plug the res. second modded intake horn. third, the 3.5 straight pipe is nice but a 4 or 5 inch will whistle even alittle more. fourth you can get an intake and that does help it whistle alittle more and spool slightly faster. fifth, when i get the new compressor wheel done here in a week or some, add one of those. they will flow aobut 15% more air and spool at 12-1300 with a modded intake horn.
