Got the truck up there yesterday....cold there chatting in front of the shop. I'll have to say Scott is as nice a guy in person as he is here on the forum. Should be picking it up by Thursday with a load of stock parts in the bed.
Driving his truck made me miss my LB7, but mostly I now see what I've missed all these years.....boost! Water/meth and tons of fuel is fun, but it's clear there is nothing better than more air....soon I will have some of my own.
Pics and vids to follow.
I can hit 60 psi on the 3 tune. I haven't even tried anything lower than that. Rob just sent me a trial tune to back off the boost a bit, but I want to try a few more things first. I want to try running without the fleece turbo brake again even though I have it set to what is supposed to be stock vane position on the vvt. Also try some runs with it cranked down a bit. I just installed the drive pressure, so curious where it is.
Wonder why wer'e the only two that gets the P0103? Both LMM's too....
Rob says to check wires, but they seem fine. Also the code only comes up when I reach max boost.
Go ahead and disable that code Darrell, its non performance related and you don't need your truck making noises at you with flashing lights while you're doing hwy burnouts
well i found the problem ,the oring from the 400 to the pipe got pushed or fell out , compressed air didnt show anything or a smoke machine ,, finally i sat under the hood with a bottle of soap, got my partner to boost it brought it up to 30 and bang huge soap bubble s
I can send you out another o-ring or two if you want David, just give me the word. I should probably start sending extras in the kit for this reason, that o-ring in particular doesn't like to stay put very well and can be tricky.

lol yeah i was in a hurry, today was a heart attack patient laying in the road, tommorrow could be another structure fire, who knows. If my tones go off im going to help someone quickly.
Tim Moye did a great job originally in Florida, but thats to far to drive now, and I should of done everything then. Im sure Ill be calling one of them real soon.
Not sure how you can do it Dustin. First thing I do is hit the big tune.....and blow an intercooler boot. Hang on though that big tune is nasty! I could'nt do any testing today. Rain, rain, rain.
REALLY interested to see what your LMM does for bost BD, glad you found the issue.
I'm off to a conference tomorrow, so no testing till the weekend now. Hope they have wireless......
Well that sucks, but I'm sure there is a simple solution. I have an e-mail into one of my old diesel buds that is also a GM tech. He cleared up the P0103 with some kind of connection to the MAF that fooled it into not throwing the code. Waiting to get specifics.
As much as I am liking the twins, I'm still a little frustrated about the bluish smoke at idle....that's been nagging on me. It cleans up good when warm though....and then I forget all about it when I hear that sweat sound...
mine had some blue when it was colder outside. now its above 0 at night and doesnt seem to. I kinda chalked it up to the missing intake heater? read somewhere else that tuning can do that, not the tuning it's self but the fact that you have tuning. 2-cents
sadly, I ordered my boost gauge and three gauge pod on the 7th of January. They sent a pillar for a dodge to start. after i installed twins I put it in and found out the backlight was wrong color. So now I'm four weeks into a three week wait for the right one. They wonder why guys dont like to shop local hahah. I can let you know if it ever shows up.
All fixed up then I see. I'll get around to some testing tomorrow. Also can read the back pressure too.
Know what you mean about being a little nervous Dustin. You will need alot of road....100mph happens fast. It's kind of freaking me out to take a video of gauges at speed.
I also need more EFI practice. I have yet to log anything, or turn off codes. Did you turn off the P0103?
was kind of weird, after i ran mine for a week, it threw 3 egr codes. Don't remember the numbers now but I cleared them and they haven't come back yet.
hey Motovet, just wondering what exhaust you have. I also tow with my family and right now I just have a 5" straight pipe and I think the drone will be crazy. Just trying to get some ideas for a muffler. was thinking MBRP 5"
u havent driven it yet ??,, or u have and u think its too loud ,, with my stacks it sound like i put a muffler on because of the twin ,its like one step louder then stock
hmmm, could be that two stacks are quieter. I have driven it a bunch. Just took it out on the highway and it droned quite a bit on the hills. The sound is great but the wife and kids would prolly not enjoy the drone on a long trip with the trailer. Stacks would be a nice option but with the short box the 5th wheel would hit the stacks when I get closer to jack-knifing.
well thatd be the first lol. pretty weird , id say put on a muffler if the drone is to much . so weird that i can berely tell ive done anything to the truck other then wissle the snail makes
