| EGR block plate / DPF delete I'd really like to block the EGR to prevent the goop in the turbo and ditch the DPF to stop flushing fuel from the truck. The plate is simple enough (although it doesn't sound like much fun to install in my truck). While replacing the whole exhaust system is probably the best solution, I want to keep the stock muffler and tailpipe to stay a bit stealthy since I live in the state with the longest list of dumb laws in our great nation. I'll also have to revert to stock appearance every couple of years to be smogged (although they will NOT be plugging in to the computer).
My barrier is the cost of a programmer, but I'd like to find out what my options are and see if I might be able to scrape up the cash. I'd *like* an Edge CS Race (hardly any more $$$ than the Evo), but they aren't cheap. I'd consider something else if it were substantially less money.
I'll also need an EGR block plate and probably a DPF bypass pipe. Wouldn't mind ditching the cat, but that isn't a
priority.
Of course, if I'm totally off base I'd like the right answer, too. Thanks!
