05 Lly Hid??

Hi i'm new at this..... Wondering where i can purchase Hid kit for my 05 and if it will just fit right in?? Also i like the tow mirrors on the newer 06-08 trucks is there anyway i can get them to fit onto mine?? thanks

Not sure about the HID kit... But the twin stalk towing mirrors will fit on your truck. Just go down to your dealer and sweet talk the parts guy for a good deal. My 06' had the smaller power mirrors with defrost and power fold, my new towing mirrors have defrost but do not power in and out or fold.

You can buy HID kits on ebay. Just search for 9005 HID kit and a bunch will pop up. Some are direct plug in some need to be hard wired. Just as an example here is a link to a kit.

Just remember you pay for what you get. Kits are usually about 175-350 some are cheaper and I would imagine this would be the same for their quality.

One thing on the ebay site.... I hear there's a lot of fakes out there for HIDs any other sites that'll be as cheap as ones on ebay??

Very illegal, and very obnoxious mod for everyone who has to look at them. Big safety issue as well.

How are they illegal????? I've seen a lot of vehicles that have them...... what are the safety issues?
