TTS Tranny Upgrade or Suncoast Stage III?

looking for some prices on the TTS tranny upgrade but would also like to hear your guys' thoughts on the suncoast stage III and quotes for it, if you pm me that would be much appreciated.

with the tranny kit i will also be purchasing a torque converter, and new clutch packs.

i have no experience with this so what do you guys recommend for a converter, i heard precision was good?

im still leaning towards the TTS but after doing more reading on the site and hearing what others beleive i figure i should not cancel out the suncoast just yet.

thanks, Matt

Imo do the suncoast III or IV and 1057 or 1058 converter and it
will be done right the first time... You get what you pay for...

this is my dads truck, he will have no more then the edge on it, maybe a ppe upgrade in the future, but unlike me he doesnt have the want for more power in him and he drives like the grandpa he is. He wont do much differently with the truck with an upgrade transmission in the future then he does now, thats why i cant justify spending the extra money on a suncoast transmission when the TTS upgrade will hold all he needs and then more, considering idahorob is using this set up with a couple additions in his 11 second dmaxs if im not mistaken??

The precision converter is a good one. But i agree, before you buy look hard at the Suncoast kits. The stage III kit would be plenty and it comes with a converter.

I am also currently looking up the prices of tranny upgrades but yes you are right the suncoast stage III does come with the converter and is right at 2300. This is rated to hold around 500 rwhp i believe. The TTS kit say that it can hold up to 750 rwhp. Someone correct me if I am wrong please. I think that by doing the TTS kit and a suncoast converter in theory should be better then the suncoast stage III. It is also cheaper i did some math on it today the suncoast kit is 2300 with out install. Do the TTS kit for 370 a good converter 1400 plus core and i got a price on install today and it will be between 600-700 for it to all be put together. So i should come out with something that will hold more power for less money. Someone let me know if I am way off or not.

There is now way the TTS kit holds 700RWHP by it self even if you use a Aftermarket converter. I went with a Suncoast Stage IV and I built my trans myself. The kit cost me 3000 and it is the best money I have spent.

Look up TTS kits on this site and others. I have heard about to many problems with the TTS kit to ever run one in my truck.
