Mine came with 17" wheels with 265's on them. So I don't think going to a 285 on an 18" wheel will change too much. I think there are some guys running that combo now without problems. Either way, I got other mods to do before I worry too much about the tires / wheels. Thanks for the heads up though.

what n0useforaname is talking about is when you put to wide of a tire on a to narrow of a wheel it will wear on the wheel and will cause wheel failure if it continues long enough.

the biggest tire with a 16X8 wheel with a 4.5-5.0" BP is a 285-75R16 with the torsion bars turned up and a little plastic trimmed and with the 17X8 wheels is a 285-70R17 depending what offset you go with..
