H2 Hummer wheels fit with just spinning torsion bars?

I have a chance to buy a set of new style CHROME H2 wheels & tires (like brand new) with the 315's BFG Rubber. Do I need a lift, or can I just twist my torsion bars up as far as they go? They should look awesome, but can't see putting the money out if I need a 6" LIFT. If they only rub a little bit "lock to lock" while turning i'm fine with that.

I need to upgrade my 265's!!

They will fit. Major trimming and cranking the bars a lot. I ran some for pulling. HAd to do a lot of trimming. But they do fit. Might look into the Cognito Leveling kit or the Cognito 4" which I think can be set lower. Contact Nor-Cal Nick. He's a vendor and very knowledgable on the lifts.

For the little bit of a difference Id just stick with the 285's on you H2's. But, if you try cranking make sure you get a alignment or your new tires will be gone!

ccvt98, Sweet samurai! Is it clean? Do you wheel with it? Looks decent!

If you run 285s minimal trimming and minimal cranking will be needed.

I ran 315s and put 9 turns in my bars and did a lot of banging trimming and zip tieing to mak them fit and they only rubbed at full clock or with a lot of suspension travel while turning.

As little as 1 turn in the t bars will goof up the alignment. I would make sure to get one. ESPECIALLY if you go with BFGs. A bad alignment will eat them up in under 1,000 miles.

Like Towmaster Said, if i was to do it again i would go with the 285's, still at full lock turn they barely still rub the inner fender.

we are trying to restore it, beef up the engine, lift it, to have something to play with in the woods, But, this thing is about shot, motor siezed, the whole floor is about rusted out, but only paid 500 bucks for it, i think we may sell it, i have to many projects right now.(interested?)

I need to get rid of some 315's and H2 wheels for cheap. have 10,000 miles on em. Together or separate, even have a spare, which fits underneath BTW.

I went with the 285/70/17" Michelin's & they rub like hell! I put my Torsion bars all the way up, then back 1 full turn so I could keep some ride - but they still hit like hell. I'll get out the wiz wheel tomorrow. Can you crank the "T" bars up as high as they go, will the truck bounce like hell? Or at that point should I just do the leveling key's?
