h2 rims and center caps

I was wondering if the stock center caps fit h2 rims without any cutting? I heard some people say the little rubber pieces have to be cut off and some say they bolt right up. I have a 08 lmm and want to get h2 rims and go with 265's or 285's. I don't like the way the 245's look, just too small. Also any adj to the trsion bars to fit the bigger tires because I haven't played with them yet?

you need to find the right year center cap. I believe chevy made 3 different center caps that all looked the same, but are slightly different. I have a set on mine they fit perfectly without and cutting or modding.

Thanks I have an 08 and I looking to replace the standard chrome steel wheels, the hummer wheels look nice for what I have seen. If not I like some of the american racing or kmc wheels but there alittle more money.

You shouldn't have to do anything with the torsion bars if you put 265's on. I got my '08 with the 17" wheels and 265 tires from the factory. I bought a set of pro comp wheels and BFG 285's and I had to put a leveling kit on and do a little trimming. I have my old wheels and tires for sale if your interested, only have 4000 miles on them

Mine fit perfect.

H2 Center caps dont fit though in the rear due to the full floating axle. You need wheel spacers to make them fit.

Not trying to take over your thread but what is the max tire size if you put H2 wheels on a 03 Duramax ? Or max tire size period ? I was gonna slap my Hummer wheels with 315/70/17 tires on an Duramax if I got one ?

Those will fit with the T bars cranked up quite a bit and a handful of trmming.

They may periodically rub the sway bar though.
