Anything made by Interco should not be on a truck that big that goes down the road 70mph! They are for mud! Yes I know I know they are D.O.T. approved but that don't mean crap. The only reason they have that DOT stamp on them is so you can drive your jeep or truck to the trail at sane speeds without breaking the law.
I love super swampers they are a great tire when used for there original purpose but that purpose is in the woods not on the highway. Besides if you’re worried about snow and ice traction they are not good at that ether. You want the look of off road and the manners of a street tire then go for a all terrain tire or a mud terrain tire with a lot of siping like toyo open country mud terrains.
Sorry for the rant just tryin to save you a few hundred bucks that’s all. But hey if you go with them look me up in six months when there half bald and cuped and I will take them off your hands real cheap and put them on one my play trucks. The tires on the rest of them came from trucks just like yours.

the Interco tires are a great tire for mudding but not for highway driving unless you don't mind tires wearing fast..never seen one that has good tire wear.
now for Load Ratings..most LR C are rated at 50PSI,LR D are rated 65PSI and LR E are rated 80PSI but the biggest thing to look at is having a tire that has a heavy enough load rating to equal stock or higher.for instance a LR D 285-75R16 can handle just as much weight at 65PSI as a stock 245-75R16 LR E at 80PSI,wider carcass distributes the weight better so with a bigger carcass you won't need as much PSI..hope all that makes sense

Lift the truck....lol.... buy your wife a coach purse and bring it home in a lifted truck and she wont say a word....LMAO... then you can have bigger meatier tires like you want....
Ya I hauled probably 11,000 on my 285 load range D's and did about 80mph without a problem. I had no sway or anything. IMO ID say D's are fine. DD's are better
Your right with the PSI as well. I have mine at 65psi or so.
P.S.. I can hook you up with some fake coach purses that are identical to the real thing.

I had SSRs on my blazer and after a little while they started riding rough. I would rotate them every 3,000 miles but that didnt seem to help. The tires look good and performed good offroading, but if you drive alot on the road i dont think i would get them.

That is not true, They are making more and more tires for street driven vehicle...... yes they have mostly offroad tires and they make a schit ton of bias ply tires too.... But you look at the Truxus M/T, the M16 SS, and the VorTrac....they are designed to be a very streetable tire... so the statement that they dont belong on a fullsize truck is HorseSchit....all three of those tires perform well in wet, snow, dry and what not conditions
I read up on the Truxus M/T.....it's a 10 ply Load E that claims to be quiet on the street. I've also called the company and asked them about the SSR...and they told me the Truxus was my best bet and I could get 35-40,000 out of them easily. I'm not sure how true this is.....has anyone owned the Truxus M/T tires....10 ply load E?????

I'm with Hook'em. the revo's are a little more mainstream, and they do last! 40k on my set so far with highway, gravel, towing, mud and snow. I doubt I'll ever buy a different tire as long as they keep making 'em!! Everything they said is spot on!!
What scares you about D rating? I just put new tires on mine and went from stock E to the D rating. By going to a larger tire I'm able to carry about 300# more per tire even though I went down to an 8 ply.
Right on..I almost got the e rated ones, but they barely increased the payload, and were considerably more $$.Unless you're towing all the time, with heavy loads, not a must. The e rated will last a lil longer though,Dmax is heavy on the tires IMO..
Remember my first set???Ya me neither!!!
