n0use,i can see the Truxus MT getting that kinda mileage on a 1/2 ton or even a gasser but not on a diesel and when you tow it gets worse..take the Grabbers you have now and figure how much life you are gonna get out of them and then cut about 35% off for the rugher tires like your Truxus MT.thats just my experience from the last 6 years with tires,i'm not gonna say which tire for you to get but i know you wont be happy with the Truxus on your DD truck.

I actually work at a tire dealer. A load range D tire is nothing to be afraid of just find the max single load lbs @max air it should be somewhere around 3200 lbs @ either 50 or 65 psi. The other option is to run a better radial, i'm not a fan of interco they tend to have trueness issues. Probably the best all around mud terrain on the market is the Toyo M/T. Check 'em out
Know what sux though? They don't make Kumho MT in a 285....only a 265. I wanted to go a bit bigger than what I have on now. And how many miles does a Kumho MT get??

That is not true, They are making more and more tires for street driven vehicle...... yes they have mostly offroad tires and they make a schit ton of bias ply tires too.... But you look at the Truxus M/T, the M16 SS, and the VorTrac....they are designed to be a very streetable tire... so the statement that they dont belong on a fullsize truck is HorseSchit....all three of those tires perform well in wet, snow, dry and what not conditions
I understand what you mean but none of those tires were on his original wish list. but even so they are never gona beat the ride and mileage of a BFG A/T or a Toyo M/T.
As far as swampers being good in the wet and the snow I call bull sh*t on that out right. i live were it snows and rains and ices and all the rest and ANY and i mean ANY mud terrain is like an ice skate on curtain kinds of snowy roads and to an extent wet roads but for some reason Super Swampers seem to be like skates in the rain more then other M/T and I can't tell you why but my butt's been in the seat and it can get harry in full size blazer with 35’s not wanting to turn in then stepping out ever corner.
