I put them on sale trucks. There is really nothing wrong with them they have a higher blow out rate.

I hate retreads. They blow out and tear stuff up and could have a bad accident. For a few extra $ I would buy regular tires and have a good piece of mind about the tires being ok.

If you are towing they are junk. You dont get your full weight rating back when you get your tires cap. If your tires had a 5000lbs rating at 100psi you cant put a 100psi back in the tires you can only put in around 80psi. so you lost 20% of your weight rating.

OMG.....I that the title of the thread said retards....It was not until I saw the first post that I realized it said retreads...LOL....for your question...As stated above they can loze the rating on them. But the retread industry has come a long way...we are starting to run them on all of or trucks at work and im talking about the pickups not just the big trucks. They are ok but Im not a fan of them do to the fact that they still have probs with the cap coming apart if the tire was not prepped right.
ha ha wow!! That is too funny!! Yeah. I found a company that has been doing it since the 60's and have recently upgraded their facilities and technology so I thought I might try them on the work truck. They use bf, goodyear, and mich. casings and tread patterns. Thanks for the reply's on your experiences with em guys!!

Hmmm thats sorta a hard question. I run recaps on the rear of all my tow trucks. They have 19.5 tires and the tread is different than passanger tires. I really dont like and would never use a passenger car type retread on my dmax. Even if it was a load range D or E.

well heres the take on Recaps..works great for short runs, what cause them to blow out is long hauls or heavy hauling.if i had a truck that doesn't get alot of miles or is more a farm truck i would run them but other then that no..we sell quite a few for Semi's that haul coal and do short runs but i try to talk guys out of running them across the road.
