yea im about to jump into some Cooper Discoverer ATR's in 265s. Can I get a lower load range, I know that I dont want E rated again because I dont pull anything but a 4 wheeler or a bass boat, and they make for a HORRIBLE ride. So I am considering C rated or lower, is this possible in my 3/4 ton?

I have Cooper ST in 265's load range C and pull a 7500lb fifth wheel, so the c should be fine. But some advice I own a auto and tire shop and I am cooper dealer and don't recommend the ATR's for your truck, everyone Iput on only last about 30k and they don't handle well with a load very squirmy even when they are 245's 10 ply.

id still recommend a D rated tire, just put less air in them if you want a nicer ride, you will compromise mileage a little though

I am running the same tires, Cooper Discoverer ATR, load range E. I am totally happy with mine, including the ride. Compares to my 1500, but I was running these same tires on that truck when I sold it to my brother. Took the tires for my new-to-me truck. Can't complain at all, except for the fact that they don't seem to last with the heavier truck and a heavy right foot.

I work in a shop and sell tons of tires. I wouldnt go any lower than a D tire personally. The engine ways alot and you dont want the front tires to get hot or side walls to roll over. Plus If you ever do want to or need to pull a heavy load then there there!
Trust me there is alot more in a tire that is D rated than C rated. Its not like getting a different size underware.

haha sounds like its concluded...i will be getting D rated, now i just have to decide which tires to get because obviously the ATR's arent getting much praise.
