I have a 2008 HD crew cab 4X4. The OEM wheels are 17x8 with original LT265-17s. I installed new BF-LT285 17 ATs on the oem rims with little wheel rub. I would like to install AR Vise rims (17-9) with 4.5 offset. This would push my BFs out to fender edge or 1/4 pass. Will a ready lift level system be enough. I understand this would gain almost 2"
My truck has 285's with aftermarket wheels, no lift and rub a little. Id say you'll be good and the wheels will fit after the lift! Actually they might fit without it.

You can probably step up a little bigger with the ready lift... a true 33 like a 305 something would work and look great... the 285 will look decent too
Thanks for the welcome Jason
With the OEM wheels now and wheel rub, I am sure the 4.5 off set will rub hard. I am hoping the (ready Lift) will raise enough to clear.
The main reason for the post and question is to try and confirm the American Racing Wheel model Vise 17X9 with a 4.5 offset and the 285s working with just the leveling kit. The Vise will (not) work at all without some lift.
I am trying to answer for you bro.... stock it will rub worse... you are looking at being about 1/2 or so out past the fenders but the readylift will give you enough clearance... worst case you may have to trim the corner of the bumper but thats no biggie....
Ok, I appreciate what your trying to say and the help you are suggesting.
I have OEM wheels on with LT285-17s. I do have a little wheel rub.
I am wanting to change the OEMs for AR-Vise wheels which have 4.5 offset. When I change these rims I am positive the wheel rub will be intense to the point of cutting the tire. With that said you beleive the RL will clear enough with maybe a little trimming to work??
