Atx Clash Black

Hello folks,
I'm considering upgrading to these wheels in the next little while. I found a Canadian dealer who hasn't yet jacked-up their prices to reflect the plummeting Canadian dollar.

So...I need to make a quick decision, and I'm hoping I could gain some feedback about ATX Wheels in general from the members here.
I believe ATX is made by American Racing. How is their build and finish quality? Are they re-branded American Racing because they are inferior? They run about $200 per wheel so I assume they should be decent, but I can't seem to find a user review anywhere on-line.

Thanks!

I've been running the American Racing ATX wheels for over a year now. All I can say is, I never take them off......and they've seen a PA winter, and have no scratches, no nicks, no dents, and I'm very happy with them. Most of the ATX are Teflon coated....that helps out a lot. Only thing I will say is, mine have the least back spacing possible.....(basically as close to stock as possible)....and with 265's....mine rubbed.

Hey nouse!
What model and size did you get? What rubber did you put on?
I'm considering LT275/65R18's.
The over all diameter is 32 1/4" so I'm hoping no trimmin will be required.
Thanks!

I got the 16 inch Teflon coated Craters. I think they're great. And I put a set of 265/75-16's on them.....but I'm upgrading to 285's here very shortly.

I have been pricing out the 18" ATX thugs, I sure hope the dollar goes up. Where in Alberta you from? From what I have seen of them they are a good quality.

I'm in Calgary.
I ended up with the American Racing Cannon's. They have a more appropriate offset at +6mm, instead of -15mm for the Clash.

By the way, check out CarModifier.ca. I bought a wheel and tire package from them just a few days ago. Their wheel prices are the same as you see advertised on most American web sites, only their prices are in CND dollars!!! Shipping is very reasonable at only $50 per set. So if you buy a set of wheels and tires the shipping is $100. All mounting, balancing and hardware included.

I bought a set of General HTS 275/65R18's to go along with the AR Cannons. Should be here next week some time.

I think I was all in for under $2K. That's darn good for Canadian dollars.
