I have heard from my tire person at Discount Tire and from other diesel owners that Duratracs only have a 2-ply sidewall, even though they are E rated. This leads to after tire wear and from sidewall flex. Never owned a set myself, but when my tire shop talks me out of a tire they have in stock, I tend to believe them. If it had been a special order tire, I might have been more skeptical.
There are only a few tires out there that have 3 ply sidewalls. Toyo mt's and bfg mud and a/t's. Unless you are rock crawling or going through lava rock fields u dont need 3 ply sidewalls. Especially on a diesel...not the best off road vehicle in my experience.
